Mario has a proven track record in the healthcare sector. With 20 years of experience in developing and implementing innovations for health insurances, physicians’ associations and innovative pharmaceutical and medical device companies, Mario brings profound expertise and leadership to the team. Mario holds a medical doctorate from the University of Hamburg and an MBA from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
With over 15 years of expertise in various C-level positions in the healthcare and communication industry, Michael is ideally qualified to lead our business development. As former marketing manager for Merz Pharmaceuticals, M&A specialist at Merck Darmstadt as well as former CEO at Senator Global, Michael’s global experience in both complex and innovative business environments gives him the right set of skills to leverage our international business. Michael holds an Economics degree from The University of Frankfurt as well as a MBI (Master of Business Informatics) from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Matthias holds a medical doctorate degree from the University of Ulm. He has gained both inpatient and outpatient medical expertise in various healthcare systems around the world. He joined GAIA 13 years ago and brings in profound experience in developing, marketing and managing national and global patient-centred public health and mHealth solutions.
Bernhard joined GAIA in 2005, holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Osnabrück and leads our team of technology experts and software engineers. Previously, Bernhard was responsible for Yahoo’s mobile technology platform. He brings profound knowledge of modern UI-tech, big data management and data security to the team.
Björn is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience in research on psychopathology, personality, and psychotherapy process and outcome. After studying in the US and earning a PhD from the University of Miami, he was engaged in research, teaching, and clinical work at universities and university clinics in Pittsburgh, Baton Rouge (LSU), London and Hamburg. As an experienced and well-published researcher, he leads the development and scientific evaluation of our mHealth interventions.
Gitta is clinical psychologist and CBT therapist and supervisor with a PhD from the University of Freiburg. Before joining GAIA she worked as a clinician and research fellow at the University Medical Center and the University of Freiburg. Her research interests are both in the more basic mechanisms of psychopathology and the development and evaluation of innovative treatments in severe mental disorders. She has received funding for her research from several national and international funding organizations and published more than 100 clinical and research papers, chapters and books Gitta develops and leads our clinical programmes aiming at offering modern, integrated and cost-effective treatment for people with different mental disorders.
Oliver has a degree in Medicine from Freie Universität of Berlin (FU Berlin) and worked several years in surgery. He joined GAIA 16 years ago and is experienced in developing public health, e/mHealth and innovative knowledge management solutions such as ontologies and collaborative knowledge platforms.
